How GrantWriterMatch works

By GrantWriterMatch Editorial

GrantWriterMatch helps you compare paid grant-writing help and contact a writer or firm directly. Browsing is free. You do not need an account or an email address to see the options.

We publish comparisons; the providers quote for and perform the work. Every provider in our current comparison is listed for direct contact. We have not arranged introductions, confirmed their current capacity, or reserved time on your behalf.

Browse grant writers

1. Start with the work you need

The homepage comparison shows named writers and firms, their published services, fee information where available, important conditions, and direct contact links. The default list is alphabetical, not a ranking from best to worst.

You can browse the full comparison or use the optional Find My Grant Writer finder to narrow it. Start with your organization type and the work you want help with. You can refine the results with a funding program, deadline, location preference, or budget for professional help.

You do not need to have selected a grant. Research and planning are services you can purchase separately from writing an application. If you have a draft already, review or editing may be the relevant engagement.

The budget question concerns what you can pay for professional help, not the size of the grant you hope to receive. “Not sure” and “Need a quote” are valid answers.

2. Use the results as a shortlist

The finder uses the same published information shown in the comparison. It looks for documented client and service fit, explains why a provider may be relevant, and identifies details you still need to confirm.

Published expertise does not establish experience with every funder or technical field. A named funding program you enter does not become verified provider experience. An office location does not establish on-site availability. A deadline does not mean a writer can accept your project.

When the available evidence does not support a close match, the finder says so. You can change your preferences or browse the full list. Our comparison is a starting point and does not cover every grant writer in the market.

See our methodology for the sources, verification standards, fee comparisons, and ordering rules behind the listings.

3. Contact the provider you choose

The Contact link for a provider takes you to that provider's public contact page. Any inquiry you submit there goes to the provider under its own privacy policy and contact process.

Using our comparison or finder does not send a project brief, email a writer, or request a quote. Your finder preferences stay in the current page's browser memory; we do not forward them to the providers. See our privacy policy for information about website data and email inquiries.

For a useful first inquiry, tell the provider:

  • What kind of organization you represent and what the project is about.
  • Whether you need research, writing, editing, review, or continuing support.
  • The funding program or application link, if you have selected one.
  • Any deadline and your budget for professional help, if known.

Send drafts and supporting documents through the provider's agreed process. Do not send confidential grant materials to GrantWriterMatch.

4. Confirm the engagement before hiring

Ask the provider to confirm the people doing the work, relevant experience, current availability, and the total fee for a defined scope. Clarify research, budgets, attachments, revisions, submission responsibilities, payment timing, and anything billed separately.

Published fees are comparison information, not a quote for your project. Hourly rates can carry minimum hours or prepaid commitments. A quote-required listing does not mean the work is free.

You decide whether to proceed and contract with the provider directly. GrantWriterMatch does not receive your service payment, manage the engagement, submit the application, or decide grant eligibility. Neither a listing nor a writing-service agreement guarantees funding.

If a provider cannot help

We do not monitor private conversations with providers or know whether they have replied. If a provider is unavailable, does not respond, or is not a suitable fit, you can return to the comparison and contact another option.

If a contact link is broken or a listing contains an error, tell us. For disputes about paid work, contact the provider with whom you made the agreement.

How paid visibility is handled

Editorial listings are free to consider. Sponsored placements, when present, are labeled separately and do not change the alphabetical editorial order or the finder's documented-fit rules. See our advertising disclosure.
